Categories: APEA ToolsI attended the live webinar review course in November 2023, took the first APEA predictor exam immediately after, and scored 69%. The predictor exam was extremely helpful for identifying and prioritizing my weak areas to study first. I found the live webinar course to be helpful for my classes as well as for board prep. Drs. Kathy Baldridge, Kyle Lavergne and Lindsey Luther's teaching style was very effective and took me beyond what I learned in my classes, yet was not overwhelming. I continued to study and complete Q-bank questions and full practice exams through my final class/rotation on April 9, 2024. I took a second APEA predictor exam in April 2024, scored 78%. I kept studying and practicing; my scores on the practice exams continued to increase to 80-85%. I took my board exam for the first time on April 22, 2024 and passed. The monthly Power Hour sessions are definitely a favorite of mine, and I hope I can continue to be a part of them even as a new NP. Don't wait until the last minute to prep. You have to put the time in....build your content knowledge (especially in the areas of weakness) and then practice applying your knowledge to board exam questions. I enjoyed the APEA community and resources; they were recommended to me by a preceptor and I highly recommend them as well. You can do this; and APEA can help you reach your goal.
