Lori Gardiner is a nurse practitioner who is earned dual certification in psychiatric-mental health and family health. She teaches APEA courses for PMHNPs. Dr. Gardiner is an associate professor of nursing at Nicholls State University and has clinical experience in women’s health, critical care, emergency care, family practice, and occupational health. In addition, Dr. Gardiner is a major in the United States Army Reserves and serves as the officer in charge of unit operations and training for the 7242 Medical Support Unit in Gulfport, MS. She has received the Humanitarian Service Medal for work during the COVID pandemic, two Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, a National Defense Service Medal, The Global War on Terror Service Medal, two Army Reserve Components Achievement Medals, an Army Service Medal, and an Armed Forces Reserve Medal. Dr. Gardiner is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
