PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This lecture, recorded during the 2022 Review Course & Clinical Update, educates NPs about the diagnosis and treatment of eye, ear, nose and throat conditions commonly seen in primary care. Content reflects evidence-based guidelines and focuses on the most important steps in patient diagnosis and management.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to:
- Describe the etiology and prevalence of common EENT presentations including: retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, glaucoma, ocular foreign body, acute rhinosinusitis, pharyngitis, epiglottitis, infectious mononucleosis, epistaxis, allergic rhinitis, and hearing loss.
- State the common symptoms and specific assessment findings associated with retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, glaucoma, ocular foreign body, acute rhinosinusitis, pharyngitis, epiglottitis, infectious mononucleosis, epistaxis, allergic rhinitis, and hearing loss.
- Identify the appropriate pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic management of patients with retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, glaucoma, ocular foreign body, acute rhinosinusitis, pharyngitis, epiglottitis, infectious mononucleosis, epistaxis, allergic rhinitis, or hearing loss.
